Why the 2026 merch is different
This isn't repackaged content from the classic LEGO Batman series. The new Origins show, which premiered on July 30, 2026, features a darker color palette and a new angular bat symbol. The merch follows that aesthetic. At the SDCC 2026 panel, showrunner Ava Chen said, "We built the new Gotham from scratch, but the merch team had to keep up." The result is a collection that feels screen-accurate, not like a generic cartoon cash grab.
If you've played LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight - Gotham's Reckoning (released March 2026), you'll notice the same visual language here - sharp edges, matte finishes, and a near-black shade of yellow.
